Throwback Thursday - one year ago today 📆 where it all began. And what a day to look back on. We can’t believe this is only one year ago today - it somehow feels like a lifetime ago and only five minutes ago all at the same time 🤯

This project has been one of the most exciting and challenging things we’ve ever done. It took every bit of our grit, determination, vision, and strength to keep going, especially when we came up against countless obstacles that made us question whether we were doing the right thing. We now know we were absolutely doing the right thing 🌾

We cannot thank the team of local, skilled people on the ground enough. With us, they transformed our old grain store into The Corn Store and we are so grateful to every single person that played a part 🙏

This is a huge milestone but really, we are only just getting started 👀

The corn has been harvested, we are looking to start our maize harvest, and we have had a nice amount of rain overnight - all things that make us feel very autumnal here at The Corn Store! We love observing the change of the seasons, and it’s all rather early this year, but we are just going with it 🎃 We have made an autumnal display next to our seasonal veg stand in the foyer and we hope you enjoy perusing these local, seasonal treats! 🥕🍁🍅🍂🍎🧡

It’s National Afternoon Tea Week! To celebrate, we bring to you the first Corn Store Afternoon Tea for this week only - 10th-16th August 2026 🫖🇬🇧

All served with a pot of Moo and Two tea of your choice, our afternoon tea stands proudly hold a selection of homemade finger sandwiches, a tomato and goats cheese tartlet, a selection of homemade cakes and, of course, a Taylors of Bruton fruited scone with Ivy House Farm Dairy clotted cream and Dauntsey Preserves strawberry preserve 🍓 think homemade treats, quality local produce, traditional flavours, and a table full of delicious things to tuck into 🌾

Harvest 2026 is done and dusted! Here’s some clips of the farm team out harvesting our wheat and barley 🌾 It’s been a very early harvest, and unfortunately the weather hasn’t given us as much straw as we would have liked. It’s all over pretty quickly and we’re certainly not complaining about getting through with no breakdowns! Big well done to the team and thank you for watching 🌾

The beef & horseradish sandwich special is back! Local sliced roast topside of beef by Somer Valley Farms with classic horseradish sauce, served on your choice of Taylors of Bruton white or malted farmhouse bread, paired with our homemade coleslaw, Just Crisps hand-cooked sea salt crisps and salad leaves generously drizzled with Olives Et Al beetroot and thyme dressing 😍 available this weekend, served 12pm-3pm!
