The eagle eyed ones amongst you will have noticed we have been busy transforming what was Chapel chippy into an exciting new space. We can now announce that this will be a showroom for Firefly chimney services ltd . Run by Phil Hobson s son Dave Firefly I'm sure it will be a huge success and a welcomed addition to the surrounding area. Dad would certainly be very pleased to see a small local business making use of the building once again and will be proud of the efforts Dave has gone to perfect it. Hi everyone. We said we would do it a year ago but its taken this long to come to terms with it. We will soon be closing this page. Sadly Chapel chippy is no more but here is the start of new beginnings. The property which was once the chippy will be available to let in the near future and we hope it will be someone's pride and joy as it was our dad's. It will be lovely to see the building in use again and become a thriving and successful business once more. Our intention is that it will be a blank canvas for someone to make their own and hope it adds to the incredible community which is chapel. Thank you to those that attended my dad's funeral yesterday and for those that have sent their kind words and sympathies to our family, it has been a great source of comfort. It is plain to see how deeply missed my dad will be. As a family we are now focusing on learning to live with our loss and ensuring our young families can adjust to our new normal. Naturally we are getting lots of enquiries about the chippy and the building itself. It is our intention to sell the property and business in the near future and have requested the assistance of Nina Lubman's commercial estate agent to do this. It's with deepest sorrow that we have to announce that our dad Phil Hobson passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of this morning after a short illness. A dearly loved dad, grandad, brother, uncle and friend we will miss him terribly. Thank you to our family and friends for the support you have given us in the past fews days, we draw strength from you all. We take comfort in the fact that he knew how loved he was. We are now taking some time to reflect on dad's life and his legacy. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
