ever any room for imperfection and this is backed up by our numerous happy customers. Here at The Eatery we also offer a fully bespoke service for all our celebration cakes which is why we don't actually have any standard 'off the shelf' cakes. All of the celebration cakes we have made have been made as per our customers requests. When customers ask us what celebration cakes we do, we simply ask 'what cake do you want?'. We are always experimenting with new ideas and constantly creating new products to keep things fresh and on trend. Our kitchen is registered and inspected by the local Environmental Heath Department and we currently hold the highest mark of 5 stars. All food handlers also hold current Level 2 Food Safety Certificates.

A deliciously creamy Biscoff cheesecake with a buttery biscuit base, finished with plenty of Biscoff goodness.

My 6-inch cheesecakes are approximately 3 inches tall and cut into 8 generous slices - perfect for a smaller birthday celebration or simply for sharing with family and friends. Other sizes available.

There’s something very comforting about a proper chicken and mushroom pie. 🥧

Tender chicken and chestnut mushrooms folded through a rich, creamy sauce, bubbling away before being spooned into the pie and topped with a generous layer of buttery pastry.

I love making pies properly - generous fillings, plenty of flavour and pastry that melts in the mouth. And, just like all my pies, I make sure the filling goes right to the top before the pastry lid goes on.

The finished result? Golden, crisp pastry giving way to that creamy, savoury filling underneath.

Simple, comforting and exactly the sort of food that never needs to follow a trend.

Sometimes, you just can’t beat a proper pie. 🥧

Cheese and onion pie is one of those classics that, for me, should never be overcomplicated.

It should taste unapologetically of cheese and onion.

Not loaded with potato or hidden beneath unnecessary additions. Just good cheese, properly cooked onions and buttery pastry.

I’ve always believed that certain onions are for certain jobs. For a cheese and onion pie, it has to be brown onions. Gently fried in plenty of butter until they’ve softened and taken on a little colour. It’s that slow cooking that brings sweetness and depth of flavour to the filling.

The cheese matters just as much. I always use extra mature Cheddar. It has the strength and character needed to stand up in a pie. Mild cheese simply doesn’t deliver the same richness of flavour.

And then there’s the filling itself. I like my pies deep filled… otherwise, why bother?! I fill mine right to the top – quite literally to the point I can’t fit another bit of cheese and onion in.

All wrapped in my buttery shortcrust pastry.

Simple food, made properly.

As for serving… I’m firmly in the buttery mash and baked beans camp.

Each sprinkle has been carefully positioned by hand to create a bold visual statement that challenges conventional expectations of cake design.

The result is both striking and thought-provoking.

Some may say it’s just a cake covered in strands.

People often see the finished cake, but not always the detail that goes into creating it.

This sugar paste rose began as a simple piece of icing before being shaped and assembled petal by petal by hand.

There is something quite satisfying about watching a flower slowly emerge from such a simple starting point, each petal carefully thinned, shaped and positioned until the rose begins to take life.

It’s a process that can’t be rushed. It requires patience, attention to detail and a steady hand, but it’s often those small details that help make a celebration cake feel truly special.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make the biggest difference.
