This Sunday is PEAR DAY! 🍐

And that means one very important thing… Terri’s homemade pear bakes are back! 😍🍰

Thanks to the beautiful Walled Garden at Cannon Hall Museum, Park & Gardens, we’ve got fresh pears hand-picked straight from the historic pear trees growing just a stone’s throw from our café.

You really can’t get much more local than that! So, if you fancy a little taste of Cannon Hall history, come hungry this Sunday and try some of Terri’s freshly baked pear treats. 🍐

But we’re not stopping at cake…

Tan has been busy in the kitchen creating a brand-new savoury special too! 🍕🔥

Introducing our delicious Italian-style pizza slice hot, comforting and absolutely packed with flavour. Enjoy it on its own or add some sides.

So come and try something new, grab a coffee, treat yourself to a slice of cake (or both… we won’t judge 👀) and enjoy a wander around the beautiful grounds.

Why not treat your dogs too? Why not buy them one of our limited edition Eco dog toys, made by a small local business called Aurora Paw's. And while its Pear Day why not buy them a tasty healthy homemade pear dog biscuit, packed with natural ingredients!

And as for the forecast? Ignore it…

Tucked away inside the beautiful, historic Walled Gardens at Cannon Hall Museum, Park & Gardens, you’ll find the perfect little pit stop after exploring everything Cannon Hall has to offer. 🌳🐾

Come and cosy up with a freshly made hot drink, using premium locally roasted coffee beans from Forge Coffee Roasters , and treat yourself to something from our gorgeous cake counter. We are known for a good selection of homemade cakes🍰 We always have a selection available, including options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free customers, alongside freshly prepared specials that change regularly.

And did we mention we’re dog friendly? 🐶💚

Four-legged visitors are VERY welcome! We have premium dog sausages, our very own natural dog biscuits and even an exclusive eco dog toy designed especially for us by because why should humans get all the treats? 😂

Then, once everyone is suitably fed and watered, head back out and enjoy the fantastic walks around the grounds, packed with nature, wildlife and history. 🍂🌿

The seasons are starting to shift at Cannon Hall… and that means all sorts of weird, wonderful and slightly wacky things are beginning to pop up around the grounds! 🍄‍🟫🌿

So, next time you’re visiting us at The Pear Tree Pantry, we’re setting you a challenge…

🔎 How many different mushrooms and fungi can you spot?

Keep your eyes peeled around the grounds for autumn treasures like puffballs, shaggy inkcaps, jelly ears, turkey tail, earthballs and maybe even the instantly recognisable red-and-white fly agaric! 🍄
