I’ve come a long way from throwing up every birthday.

Exam result day was another level for me.

As important as they are, they definitely aren’t the be all and end all.

Because at the end of the day; self belief, drive and confidence are skills that you might not learn from university.

And it certainly isn’t for everyone.

The important thing is we show our children patience and give them the tools to build self worth so they can handle whatever the outcome.

Wishing everyone the best over the next few weeks.

It’s not all about the start…

How we got there is just as important.

The reality is that I want to share with you through these musings is that we are just two very normal, somewhat boring people.

We’ve had hard times (a lot!)

Nothing came easy.

It was a lot of hard work, a lot of trial and error.

But we pulled ourselves out of the gutter and have built ourselves the dream business.

We’re not out of the woods mentally, financially or physically.

But we made a deal that we will keep going, keep pushing and hopefully keep inspiring until we get there!

True story:

A friend popped into Brick Stop for one of our amazing caramel frappés — apparently the best in Surrey 😂 — and said how much she loved how positive I was, and how I genuinely believed we could do anything.

She’d been listening to some founder podcasts and said they all seemed to have a similar outlook.

And it reminded me…

I used to listen to those podcasts and desperately want to be that sure about things.

To be a real go-getter.

Because there have been times I’ve been so stuck in my own head that I genuinely believed I was destined for a rough time. That nothing good happened to me. That I was just riddled with bad luck.

But at the end of the day, if you stop believing, you stop doing.

And that’s when things really don’t work out.

So I worked bloody hard on my head.

I started believing in myself.

It’s not that I think things will be easy.

And it’s certainly not because things have been easy for me. I’ve had my fair share of falling flat on my face.

I’ve just chosen to go all in.

To believe in me.

To believe in us.

And luckily, I have an incredible soulmate who backs me when I come up with yet another completely crazy idea.

So yes…

I genuinely believe this delulu £1.2m goal is going to happen.

Mostly because I refuse to let James win the bet. 😂

Never underestimate..

What two people will do for a dream!

We built this community to almost 100,000 and now we are on a mission to build our way to be the most loved brand in the world.

First stop, London.. The fitout is going to be around £1.2mil and we are going to be raising the funds without investment (hopefully!)
