📢 Customer Notice
We’ve received a number of messages asking if McCann’s is reopening our chip van in Castlewellan.
We’d just like to clarify that we are not reopening there.
The van was sold by us few years ago and is now under new ownership. While it is our former van, it is not owned, operated or affiliated with McCann’s in any way.
We appreciate there has been some confusion, as many people remember our old chip van and have noticed it back in its previous location.
We would respectfully ask the new owners to remove the remaining McCann’s branding and distinctive design and create a brand of their own, to help avoid any further confusion for customers.
Castlewellan is where the McCann’s journey first began. We had many fantastic and successful years there, and we’ll always be grateful for the support the local community showed us. We’d have loved to return one day, but with the commitments of our other businesses, reopening simply wasn’t possible.
We genuinely wish the new owners every success. Castlewellan was very good to us, and we hope the community continues to support local businesses.
