What an amazing day for our Easter fun day Carrickfergus Urban Farm and Garden Centre the weather didn't put anyone off that is for sure!

Did you know at the Dancing Goat Cafe we also offer takeaway options at lunch time, we can also take pre-orders over the phone so that on your lunch break ,it can be as simple as a 5 minute pickup and we have plenty to choose from!!

Spring has arrived which means one thing for the Dancing Goat,

Opening times going forward will be 9.30-4.00pm Monday to Saturday

Stuck for something to do over Easter break, the farm is waiting to be visited and at the cafe we have lovely kinder bueno scones all week, baked fresh every morning with hot cups of tea or coffees to your liking for the adults and plenty for the tiny ones.

🌿 Job Opportunity: Café Assistant ☕

We’re looking for a friendly and motivated Café Assistant to join our team in a busy, welcoming café set on a family-friendly farm.

In this role, you’ll help prepare and serve tasty drinks, along with delicious breakfast and lunch options, all while creating a warm and positive atmosphere for our visitors.

✨ What makes this role special?
You’ll be working alongside and supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, helping them develop valuable skills and confidence as they move towards paid employment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives.

🧁 Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and serving beverages and food
Delivering excellent customer service
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
Supporting individuals in developing workplace skills
Working as part of a supportive team

✅ We’re looking for someone who:

Has a positive, patient, and compassionate attitude
Enjoys working with people and being part of a team
Has good communication skills
Is reliable and able to use initiative
Can work in a fast-paced environment
Has an interest in supporting individuals with additional needs (experience is a bonus but not essential)

🕒 Working Hours:

Flexible availability required
Must be able to work weekdays and Saturdays
Typical hours between 9:00am – 4:30pm
