Good morning, Silverdale (and beyond)! ☀️

Just a quick note to let you know that The Blossom Bird will be closed on Sunday 9th August.

This weekend is the National Sheepdog Trials, and we’ll be taking the day to support our very own Nick and Meg as they compete.

We’re sure you’ll join us in wishing them the very best of luck – we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way! 🐑🐕🍀

We’ll be back open as usual on Monday 10th August, ready with fresh coffee, homemade treats and a warm welcome.

When we were clearing tables today, we spotted this tiny origami boat sitting quietly on our Happy Chatty Table.

No note.
No explanation.
Just a beautifully folded little boat.

It genuinely made us smile.

So, to whoever left it… thank you.

We’re not sure whether it’s a one-off or the start of a tradition, but we rather like the mystery. In fact, if it was you, we’d quite like you to stay anonymous.

Who knows what might appear next… 👀

One week. ❤️

It’s hard to believe we’ve already been here for a whole week.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you.

To everyone who has popped in for a coffee, breakfast or lunch… to those who’ve taken the time to chat with us… and to everyone who’s welcomed us into the Silverdale community - you’ve made us feel so at home.

Starting a new business is exciting, but it’s also a little daunting. Your kindness, encouragement and support over these first seven days have meant more than you probably realise.

We’re still learning names, finding our feet and discovering all the little things that make Blossom Bird special, but we’re loving every minute.

Here’s to many more coffees, conversations and smiles.

Thank you for making our first week one we’ll never forget.

Hello everyone!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for making us feel so welcome already.

It was such a pleasure meeting so many of you at Nicky’s retirement celebration, and since then we’ve loved bumping into friendly faces around the village, at the school gates and out and about. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming, and it’s made us even more excited to become part of this wonderful community.

We know how much Blossom Bird means to so many people, and we’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to Nicky for everything she has built over the past six years. It’s clear how much love, care and hard work has gone into creating such a special place, and we’re honoured to be continuing its story.

From next Friday (17th July), we’ll officially be taking over the coffee shop. We’ll be keeping everything people already love while gradually introducing a few ideas of our own over time. More than anything, we’re looking forward to getting to know everyone properly and becoming part of village life.

Please do pop in, say hello and introduce yourselves—we’d love to meet you.

💕💕💕🩷❤️♥️Massive Thank you To Everyone, who Supported our Valentine’s Fundraiser for St. John’s Hospice Yesterday.
We had lots of £1’s to put in the pot, together with generous donations from our lovely customers. A special thank you to Helen and Dave And to Stephen Townson who topped up our total today.
Our final total is now £120.
Hope you all enjoyed the day… and the cake!!!!!THANK YOU!!!!
