Coming up... đŸ©·

Chicken schnitzel with cabbage slaw; a Welsh cheese and vegetable antipasto platter; parsnip and pear soup; a selection of seasonal salads; the Pork Belly Cubano, and more. Egg mayonnaise, with or without an anchovy, and Wright’s potato cakes with aioli are offered as sides.

Puddings include apple and almond tart, a clementine fool and saffron tea cakes with Stand Llaeth butter.

Meanwhile in the supper kit... Bremenda Isaf red peppers stuffed with rice and Teifi Gwennol feta, served with a tomato sauce and green salad. Plus starter and pudding. Order at wrightsfood.co.uk before midnight Wednesday.

Coming up in the cafĂ© from Thursday... 🩀 đŸ«œ đŸ„Ź

Câr-Y-Môr Pembrokeshire crab open sandwiches with brown crab mayo and Wright’s pickles; a Hael Natural Colour radicchio, Teifi mature and candied walnut salad with buttermilk dressing; tartiflette with green salad, and plenty else besides.

Puddings include baked sultana and nutmeg cheesecake, Guinness cake and a vegan coconut rice pudding with Wright’s jam.

Sunday’s brunch specials are toad in the hole with mustard mayo or a beetroot toast with poached eggs.

Meanwhile on Click & Collect, a classic French stew: a Welsh lamb navarin.

And it’s the last week of gofod [agored], an exhibition of ceramics, jewellery paintings and more from 40+ artists. Whether you’ve had your eye on something or haven’t had a chance to take a look, it’s on display for the last time this week from Thursday - Sunday. It’s open throughout Wrights’ open hours; enter through the front entrance and take the corridor to the gallery.

Come and join us for a creative morning at gofod, working with locally grown flowers and plants to dye your own silk bandana or scarf 🌾

Ffion from Hael Natural Colour will guide you through the process of bundle dyeing, a steam process that leaves you with beautiful imprints and patterns on fabric. 

All flowers and plants used have been grown by Hael Natural Colour, focusing on bright, tonal textures and colours to make your fabric stand out.

We will be dyeing lots of small tester pieces before going on to dye your bandana or small scarf. This is a playful process, allowing pure experimentation and lots of joy. And you’ll be treated to Wright’s coffee and cake too!

This is root & tide, our next exhibition at gofod đŸŒ±đŸŒŠ

Matthew O’Sullivan and Steffan Ebsworth beautifully capture the atmosphere of West Wales’ landscapes and seascapes.

We’re excited to be hosting these two local artists - and art teacher colleagues - for their first joint exhibition from 22 October - 22 November 2026.

Join us on Friday 6 November, 7pm for an evening with the artists and live music from their band Rum Shunk. Save the date! đŸŽ¶

Matthew is a colourist landscapist whose work draws on the expressive traditions of the Fauvist movement.

Rather than seeking to reproduce the landscape realistically, he responds to it through colour, tone and atmosphere, using heightened and often unexpected colour to convey a sense of place and experience.

Much of his inspiration comes directly from the woodland surrounding his Golden Grove home in the Towy Valley.

Steffan has always had an urge to create, splitting his spare time between producing artwork and writing and performing music.

When painting he works mainly in mixed media, and is often drawn to the Welsh coast and open spaces, spending time experiencing the ever-changing and often extremely contrasting climate.

Many of the pieces he creates are expressive and experimental depictions created on location, often semi abstract in quality and purposefully gritty, multilayered and tactile in quality; varying greatly in scale and dimensions.

Coming up in the café: leek, Gorwydd Caerphilly and potato quiche; white bean hummus; Pork Belly Cubanos, platters of antipasto, cheese and charcuterie; and more.

Puddings include Sachertorte, Wright’s trifle and a lemon and almond cake with lemon curd and labneh.

Sunday’s brunch special is spicy Arabic beans on toast with the option of adding Myrddin Heritage bacon.

Meanwhile on Click & Collect: an aubergine tagine to enjoy at home.

Our shop and cafĂ© will be closed this Saturday as we host a wedding. CoffiWright’s will be open for takeaway drinks and snacks in the morning. Find this week’s opening times above 👆

And now for something completely different
 🎭

Join actor Robbie Bowman for a new series of early evening acting classes for adults 18+, starting with a taster session this Sunday at Llanarthne Village Hall.

And as Robbie is a familiar face at Wright’s, he’s calling it Wright’s Players!

Robbie, who recently starred in ‘Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston’ on Nat Geo / Disney+ will be your guide.

He’ll take you through exercises he has taught at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) in Cardiff.

“We’ll be looking at acting exercises that include those from Stanislavski, Meisner and Chekhov using monologues, poems and improvisation to explore them... We may even work on a play and at some point!”

No experience is necessary, just an appetite to have a go!
