🦋 FUN FACTS: BUDDLEJA & BUTTERFLIES 🌸
🦋 Butterfly magnet! Buddleja is often called the “Butterfly Bush” because its fragrant flowers are packed with nectar.
🌸 A long-lasting buffet! Its flower spikes can provide nectar for butterflies, bees and other pollinators throughout summer.
👃 Follow the scent! Butterflies can detect the sweet fragrance from surprisingly far away — helping them find a good nectar source.
🌈 More than purple! Buddleja comes in shades of purple, pink, white, blue and red, so you can create a butterfly-friendly garden in almost any colour scheme.
☀️ Butterflies love the sun! Plant Buddleja somewhere sunny and sheltered and you're more likely to see butterflies stopping by.
✂️ Cut it back! Many Buddleja varieties benefit from hard pruning in late winter/early spring, encouraging lots of fresh growth and flowers.
🦋 Butterfly pit stop! A single Buddleja in flower can become a busy little feeding station on a sunny day!

This photo was taken in our shrub section this afternoon.

Back in June 2025, The BBC contacted us to see if we could support their "DIY SOS" big build in Glasgow.

We were more than happy to help and donated lots of plants for the family's garden.

The episode will finally air this coming Tuesday (22nd September) at 8pm on BBC 1.

Set your planners now, it's an episode not to be missed...
