Lunch delivery to the OM office - this one had a bit of a theme, with some internationally inspired dishes on the menu, Alongside the usual suspects we had a walnut, feta and pomegranate salad inspired by Georgian cuisine, Brunei-inspired biryani rice dish, a Spanish almond cake, Meni Meniyong (sesame and honey sweets) from Mali and my personal favourite - Absheron cake from Azerbaijan - which was a lot of fun to try to recreate 😄

💓THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who supported my tea party in aid of Breast Cancer Now 💓 - with baking, washing up, donating and eating far too much cake!

After literally baking for months (good job I have three freezers!), tidying up (the most stressful part!) and covering our dining room table in loads of treats, we put the kettle on and welcomed people into our home for a special tea party to raise money to support the work of Breast Cancer Now.

Door were open from 10am till 3pm and we had a full house for almost the entire time! I particularly enjoyed meeting many of my neighbours properly for the first time - you don't realise how individually we all operate these days until you run an event like this and finally discover who has been living down the road for the last decade 😅 I look forward to hosting more events like this!

As I chatted to everyone, I also realised that we all know someone who has been affected by cancer. We shared the happy stories and the sad ones - all stories of determination and resilience whatever the outcome.

I hope that the funds we have raised will make even a small difference and help change a few sad stories into happy ones. 💓

In my personal opinion, picky bits lunches are the best kind - because I like at least seven different things on my plate! 😂

A fabulous 50th BBQ! 🌞🍔🌸

I had the wonderful privilege of catering for a 50th birthday bbq which was also a fundraiser for Blood Cancer UK. What a fantastic celebration, with perfect weather too! 160 happy and hungry guests enjoyed burgers, sausages and chicken kebabs from a local butcher, and we provided some baked salmon and a selection of salads, side dishes and puddings.

Antipasti pesto orzo
Brocoll, apple and cashew
Tomato, cucumber, sweetcorn and feta
Dips:
Sundried tomato and sweet chilli

I am hosting an afternoon tea on the 5th of September to raise money for Breast Cancer Now - and life-changing science and support.
Your support is appreciated! And of course I will be serving up a yummy selection of cakes and bakes - including plenty of free-from treats - and endless tea and coffee. Looking forward to eating cake for a good cause!

Summer lunch buffet at Elim Church 🍓
Nearly 40 appreciative guests enjoyed a buffet of meats, salads and deserts for their Summer Social.
The sun was baking outside but the old church building was lovely and cool- the perfect venue for lunch yesterday!

On the menu:

Tandoori chicken skewers
Wafer thin cooked ham
Honey and mustard sticky sausages
Smoked salmon terrine
Yellow rice salad with dried fruit and herbs
Roast vegetable and parmesan pasta salad
Brocoll, apple and cashew salad
Potato and egg salad

Triple chocolate cupcakes
Individual lemon cheesecakes
Fresh berries and cream meringue nests
Fresh fruit platter

One of our guests was a coeliac, so almost the whole buffet was gluten free apart from the bread basket and the chocolate cupcakes.

Pre-show dinner delivery at the Brickyard 🚗

The giant tomatoes saved the day again, and we delivered a piping hot meal for 9 people, sneaking in through the main doors of the venue past fans who still had a two hour wait to get in 😉. Love those tomatoes! Though we did raise a chuckle or two from some pedestrians 🤣🍅
And it was such a gorgeous evening that we decided to use the rest of our hour's parking to stroll to Costa for a cheeky treat 😋

On the menu:
Handmade individual steak and vegetable pies/ vegan mushroom and lentil pies; paprika roasted baby potatoes and cauliflower; spinach, rocket, green bean, courgette and moonblush tomato salad with a tahini lemon dressing.
