The Heather Glen is a victorian country residence, situated in the village of Ainstable, in the beautifull Eden Valley, 20 minutes from Carlisle. Each is independent with own door and are adjacent to the main house. Access is up a small set of steps or ramp, and shilly path from our top car park immediately next to the house. Two en suite bathrooms are fitted with shower cubicles, the third with J

acuzzi bath and overhead shower. Each is fitted with small kitchen facilities, and supplied with tea/coffee, fresh milk and cereals. Our restaurant and bar are open Friday & Saturday evenings, with both lunch and evening on Sunday. Full English Breakfast may be booked in our restaurant Saturday and Sunday mornings between 8.30am and 9.30 am.

It was a case of third time lucky for this lovely couple who had to cancel their big day twice beforehand due to COVID restrictions! But when it came round to it, their wedding day was nothing short of perfect 🥰 Happy (almost) anniversary, guys!

Bride Catherine Robinson said: "We had our wedding reception at Heather Glen on 21st August 2021 and had the most amazing day ❤️

"Everything was just perfect, nothing was too much trouble (especially having to reschedule twice due to Covid 😩).

"We had so many lovely compliments on the venue and service and always love reminiscing about the best day we had there 🥰.

"We still come back for Sunday lunches regularly as nothing will ever beat the lamb roast dinner 😋😍"

Apparently a total eclipse only lasts a few minutes, which is coincidentally the same amount of time it takes to devour one of our delicious creme brulees here at Heather Glen 🤤

There's a lot of time that goes into making these tasty desserts, but probably not as long as it would take for you to find yourself a pair of solar eclipse glasses 🕶️

And unlike the actual total eclipse, you'll be able to stare at this perfect dish without those special specs, so you really are on to a winner here 🎉

Saturday was pure magic for our newest Heather Glen couple 🎉

Make sure your sound is ON 🔊 for this reel - the brilliant Border Concert Band welcomed the happy couple and their guests to our venue during canapés and welcome drinks. Absolute perfection 👏🏻🎺

From beginning to end, it was a dream day thanks to a fantastic couple, wonderful guests and amazing suppliers.
