Thank You Stanwix School!!!

A number of children at our local school got in touch asking to do a fundraiser as they were shocked at the events of last week. We suggested the donations be made to the emergency services, who responded to the incident at the restaurant and other businesses fantastically!

The children held a non-uniform day, with all invited to wear Indian themed clothes!

They raised over £450 !!! What an unbelievable effort and gesture by the kids! The donations will be made to the Fire Service Benevolent Fund.

Stanwix School has a very special place in our hearts, and their support has been amazing!

Thank you Stanwix School, thank you to the Staff and amazing Kids!!

Sincere Thanks !

Heartfelt thank you to everyone that has contacted us with their show of support. We are genuinely overwhelmed by all the messages, calls and letters.

We are so grateful to be part of this special community, so many people have offered their support in many ways, we could not wish to be surrounded by better people.

In a time when the whole City and beyond are under pressure in many ways, the show of love and support will encourage people that we can get through this – together!

When the dust settles (or more accurately when the ashes are cleared out!), we will plan our route back, with all your well wishes motivating us forward!

As you are aware, it was quite an eventful night!

Firstly, we are all safe and well, luckily nobody was in the building. A couple of colleagues in the flat next door were alerted by the fire alarm and evacuated.

Secondly, a huge thank you to all the emergency services who were amazing throughout, we cant praise them enough.

Also, thank you for all the kind words and messages we received, really means a lot!

The reality is as devastating as some of the pictures posted online - 40 years of nostalgia lost in the space of a few hours. The cause is still unclear although it has been established the root cause of the fire did not originate within our premises.

It will take a while to come to terms with this. We have been part of this community for so long, made many friends, shared many precious moments. We are more than just a restaurant!

To all the businesses affected by yet another setback, we hope you are back soon and keep Stanwix smiling!

For now, a heartfelt thank you for all your well wishes, and a promise we will be back stronger than ever!

As we move into Tier 4 from midnight, we can only be open to serve take-away food – COLLECTION ONLY.

Apologies to all who booked to sit in, as heart-wrenching as this is, we have to stay positive, support each other and look forward to better times.

All who booked are invited to place a takeaway order and we will ensure you have a slot available. Please be assured, all those who have pre ordered their take-aways, your meal will be waiting for you!

Not the New Year we wanted, but lets make it the best we can!
