One of Cumbria's favourite long-established Italian restaurants in the heart of Carlisle, serving traditional Italian with handmade Vegan, Dairy & GF dishes too. Ever been to one of the big chains and asked if you can have this pasta with that sauce and got a big 'I'm sorry but...' well, not here. We are proudly independent and we have plenty of experience. We have a large GF section, a great homemade Vegan/Dairy Free menu including starters, mains AND desert! We have a choice of Vegan w**e. When we say we have something for everyone, we mean it! We are far from being a health food spot but we know our onions and we can give everyone great tasting, fresh, homemade food. Come and try us...Oh, and leave room for our fantastic Gooey Brownie or gorgeous Sticky Toffee Pudding ...and you won't believe it but they're GF and about a third less calories too...so you can ask for extra Local Ice Cream!

Did you know? CasaRomana has been crafting authentic Italian dishes with passion in Carlisle since 1993? But being established doesn't always mean good, so to still get great 5 star reviews means the world to us, so thank you Andy Smith, for sharing. Now you can too.

It's hotter than a scotch bonnet on a pepperoni pizza outside but lovely and cool in here...Well, in the restaurant, the kitchen, not so much so!
You know where to come to enjoy a tasty meal in cool surroundings guys. LEAVE that oven turned off!

Scorchio!!! It's hotter than the pizza oven in our kitchen!!!
You may not be able to dip your toes in the Trevi Fountain, but you can stay cool, keep the oven off and dine out in our lovely, cool, air-conditioned Ristorante!!! (Salads are optional, but gelato is a must!)
