The Old Bank City Pub and Chop House is Situated in a Grade II Listed Bank Building on the corner of Fisher Street in the main shopping hub in Carlisle City Centre. We serve British Classics twisted with modern day techniques and local produce is used throughout. We have a great range of steaks and chops from local family butcher Steven Wilson who only uses the best meat possible. All thisd is washed down with craft beers, ciders and wine and set in a casual fun environment.

Hello everyone ! I’m really sorry to do this and it feels so 5 years ago but we are having to re introduce a deposit system for bookings
The summer for us here at The Old Bank is always a challenging time with it been warm, people’s eating habits changing, people away on holiday so any time more than ever we really rely on bookings and people coming to visit us. The industry is extremely hard at the moment for small, independent, family ran businesses which fill your high streets and keep our wonderful city going !
But when a large table cancels under 12 hours for this evening we have had to go back to some sort of system
So as outlined below 👇
⭐️ Any table booking with us under 5 will be able to book via the phone on 01228 818583 or online and not pay a deposit
⭐️ Any table bigger than 5 will be able to book online ONLY via the website www.theold-bankcarlisle.co.uk
A £10 per person deposit will be required to be paid when completing the booking online. Other than this way we cannot take table bookings bigger than 5 over the phone or social media

Again this feels so 5/6 years ago and I thought we were past it but unfortunately we are having to re introduce this for everyone ! If we don’t do anything you’ll simple loose these fantastic places and then wonder why you only have multi national chains

Ps If anyone is looking to go out and eat we have plenty of space tonight and Tommorow
