CRAFT FESTIVAL IS BACK IN CARDIGAN! 🙌

We’re really excited to have Sarah James MBE back in town this weekend, (11th–13th September) and we’re looking forward to once again being part of the Craft Trail 🧵

This year, we’ll be displaying the beautiful work of Sophie Snow, a contemporary quilt maker based just down the road in St Dogmaels.

Inspired by the landscapes and coastlines of West Wales, Sophie’s quilts combine linen, cotton, block-printed fabrics and hand stitching in bold, joyful colours, all made slowly by hand and designed to be cherished for generations.

Pop in, grab a coffee, have a look at Sophie’s work and pick up a Craft Trail map from us to explore the rest of the trail around Cardigan. ❤️

THE SOURDOUGH SWAP 🍞🌾

It’s Sourdough September! And this year we’re joining the Real Bread Campaign Sourdough Swap campaign.

The idea? 💡 —> Swap your usual bread for proper sourdough - even if it’s just once.

So throughout September, bring us a receipt showing you’ve bought your usual supermarket/other bread and you can buy one of our sourdoughs for just £2.

Every day we’ll have:

📍 5 sourdoughs @ HQ, Aberteifi
📍 3 sourdoughs @ Emlyn
📍 3 sourdoughs @ Haverfordwest

We’ll keep every receipt and at the end of September we’ll see just how many of you swapped your usual loaf for the real thing 👀

Try proper sourdough.

The hedgerows are FULL of blackberries right now 🤤 (how fast does time fly, eh? Feels like only a few months ago we were last out picking them!)

Anyway… the Blackberry Portuguese Tart. 🔥

Rough puffed buttery pastry, filled with homemade blackberry jam + creamy custard, then baked HOT at 260°C. 🔥 🔥

Seasonal. Simple. Blydi delicious.
