Good afternoon everyone 🥵

I won’t mention the heat , it’s all everyone is talking about - however loads of people are asking me how the birds are coping 🥵

Well, David and I aren’t very good at cutting back the overgrowth in the chicken runs. Some say it looks messy and unkept , some say it important for the insects - but we say it provides shelter for the birds in this heat.

I’ve been letting them out as early as 5.30am-6am this week to give them a bit of respite from the heat .

As you can see they are using the overgrowth as shelter for the heat and coming out when it’s cooled off a bit.

One other thing we do is give them a Poultry Tonic in their water.
Gives them some support such as electrolytes and minerals , as eating isn’t something they are doing a huge amount of at the moment.

Good morning everyone.

We have been very quiet on social media lately , and it’s due to a combination of things.

🌟 We had a lovely holiday in Minehead (feels like ages ago already)

🌟 The eldest has been bogged down with GCSEs , and it’s been a challenging few months to balance revision and down time.

🌟 The two footballers of the family have been very busy with their quest to make it professionals , with tournaments here there and everywhere.

🌟 We had a nasty visit from Mr Fox TWICE 🥴

🌟 Race to get the turkey shed mucked out, and the rearing pen clean and turkey ready.

🌟Yesterday we took delivery of these little beauts. 🦃🐣

So, between everything it’s been a little chaotic and social media had to take a back seat.

But we are still here 💁‍♀️😍

Tomorrow we are Marchnad Ffermwyr Aberystwyth Farmers' Market 9am-1pm

Stock is slightly limited due to Mr FOX , as the replacements are not ready yet. But I will bring what I can and a box of frozen.

Good morning everyone.

Where has the sun gone 🤦‍♀️🫣🥶🥶?

We hope you all had a wonderful half term.

This week we have our last batch of fresh ducks available 🌟🌟

If you’d like to order anything please send me a message and we can arrange collection on Friday or from the Marchnad Ffermwyr Aberystwyth Farmers' Market on Saturday morning.
