Tuesday 21st July - The Bill Henderson project:-
Discovering the music of Bill Henderson opened up a world of warmth, blues feeling, and deeply expressive storytelling. Working together as a band has brought that music to life, giving us the chance to explore the richness of swing that made Henderson such a distinctive voice in ja*z. Drawing from his celebrated repertoire from the Great American Songbook, we aim to capture the spirit of Henderson’s classic recordings while bringing our own musical personalities to the music through improvisation. The programme includes classics such as “A Lot of Livin’ to Do” and “Señor Blues”.
Featuring: John Johnson – Vocals, Tom Barber – Piano, Benedict Stephens – Double Bass, Patrick Barrett-Donlon – Drums https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Henderson_(performer)
