If you haven’t heard already, Buds are taking over the old Orchard/Alex Gooch coffee shop in Park Road, Radyr!!

Buds is Andrew Minto and Kate Parsons new venture. Andrew was the chef at the Orchard for many years before winning Bake Off The Professionals and setting up a catering and festival business with his “bud” Kate, who is an amazing chef in her own right!

Together, they will make Buds a great coffee shop, patisserie and lunch time eatery!!
I can’t wait for them to open!

We are so pleased to announce that Alex Gooch artisan baker is coming to Radyr!!!

Soon he will opening a bakery/coffee shop on Park Road, serving all things delicious 😋 😋

The winds of change are certainly blowing today!!

Today is the last day that we will open. I apologise for not letting you know sooner but it’s been a bit emotional. We have loved being here for the past 8 years and have met such a lot lovely people, many of whom have become friends. Lockdowns and chef shortages have affected our business in many ways, so we have made the tricky decision to close. I’d like to thank all of our staff past and present for everything they did to make The Orchard a special place to be. I’d like to especially thank my sister, Wendy, who is always behind the scenes baking, cooking and being the best support ever!🙏💕 Pop in today. We’re here till 4. Lots of love and gratitude to you all ###🙏💕

Apologies to all of you expecting us to open tomorrow. Our chef has had to leave due to health issues and we are looking for another! We hope to reopen early September xx
