Our Story
Talk and Surf Gaming Center is a local business located in the heart of Cardiff. Ran by gamers for gamers, Talk and Surf provides quality experiences for gamers of all walks of life. With 12 top of the range gaming PCs and monitors, accounts for all the top games, good hot food and all the energy drinks you can handle, you and your friends can have the gaming experience that YOU want in Talk and Surf.
But that alone isn’t what makes us tick. Our staff and store are dedicated to building and supporting the greatest community of gamers imaginable. You have a game you like? We’ll support it and the community surrounding it. One way we achieve this is by running a range of events, both online and offline; from casual relaxing meetups, group play, weekly tournaments and our premium events, large monthly tournaments with large cash prize pools! In addition to running charity events and providing a venue to communities looking for a home.
In the weekdays we run tournaments for a huge variety of games, such as League of Legends, Playerunknowns Battlegrounds, Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Smash Bros for Wii U and many more! These events act as a social gathering as well as the stepping stone you need to be the best player you can be, maybe one day even making it onto our ranking leaderboards and having the door opened to really expand your esports experience in Wales, the UK and beyond!
In the weekends we run our large monthly tournaments for an even larger list of games than the one above! These events cater to our competitive communities, people who want to really push themselves and the games they love to new heights! With well loved events like OverLAN (Overwatch), Rumble in the Rift (League of Legends), Real Melee Hours (Super Smash Bros Melee), Combo Clubhouse (Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Marvel v Capcom Infinite) and Wales’ largest and longest active running E-sports series; Koopas Keep! (Super Smash Bros for Wii u)
