🌟 We’re Hiring – Friday & Saturday Help Wanted! 🌟

We are looking for a friendly, reliable person to join us on Saturdays, 9am - 3pm

We’re a small, busy cafe/lounge with a lovely community of regulars. The role will include:

Role: Breakfast & Lunchtime chef, with a level 2 or 3 hygiene certificate and experienced in maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety records.

What matters most is a smile, good energy, and enjoying a chat with customers.

Perfect for someone local looking for a few extra hours at the weekend!

We are absolutely overflowing with gratitude! 🙏 A huge, heartfelt thank you to every single one of our customers – both our regulars who feel like family and the new faces we're so happy to welcome you all to our community cafe, Parklands Community Cafe & Lounge

Because of your support, we have incredible news to share: our charity Struggles 2 Smiles pay it forward system has now reached £70! This means that this week, we will be able to provide 100 to 150 hot, nourishing & tasty meals for Cardiff's homeless community living on our streets. Your coffee, your cake, food and your time – it all goes such a long way, and we promise to pay every bit of this kindness back into the community as we have done since 2020.

To make this happen, we would love some helping hands! If you have a little time to spare and would like to join us in delivering these meals and sharing some warmth, please get in touch. It's a powerful way to make a direct difference in our community and providing hot meals to though in need.

This morning we are using fresh Welsh cherry tomatoes which is grown using the produce from our local community farming project which is soon to take off in September! 🌱

Starting Sunday 14th September, join us every Sunday from 11am - 4pm for our delicious Roast Dinner Carvery – the perfect way to end your weekend! 🥩🍗🥕

Plus, exciting news… We’re coming to Just Eat & Deliveroo soon!🍴 Stay tuned for updates on when you can enjoy our food delivered straight to your door.

Proud of Our Incredible Team! 💜💜💜

Huge shoutout to our talented young chefs and waiters who absolutely CRUSHED it last couple of week in our Parklands Community Cafe & Lounge 🍳☕ You’ve worked so hard, and it shows, not just to your managerment but to our customers & community- stand tall, because you should be so proud of yourselves, because we all are!!

And here’s the best part: Since opening, we’ve served & donated 22 hot meals to our homeless community. 🥘❤️ Every plate is a reminder that small acts of kindness create big change.

To everyone who supports us, our funders, sponsors and community - thank you. You turn struggles into smiles, every meal at a time and have kept our community experiencing food insecurities smiling since 2020. Let’s keep this energy going! 🙌
