Tucked away around a corner from Whitchurch Road is Blake & Brew - and it’s not just a hatch.
It’s a cafe that serves coffee, cakes (from Nicola Lawrence) and a couple of days a week pastry (from Astrid's Petite Cuisine) to the local community and other friendly faces.
Also on display inside you’ll find retail coffee to take and brew at home, to take away whilst on your holiday or to give as a gift.
Open from 8am Tuesday to Saturday, you can grab a take away on your way to work or whilst you’re doing the school run, on your lunch break or if you find a spare moment you can come and sit and chat with the locals and other visitors.
With access from inside the cafe you can walk through to - a print gallery with some extra seating. In here it’s quiet and relatively cool, and a nice little space to work or have a catch up away from the bustle of the hatch.
Laptop users are more than welcome to join the space to work from whilst enjoying a coffee or two. Rarely is there never a spare seat to pitch up at.
More recently some parasols have arrived to help shade from this beautiful sun we’re getting which beams down on the shop for most of the day - and many of you seem to be enjoying it.
A reminder if you’ve got this far that it’s service as usual for most of the summer. I’ll be closed Saturday 18th July whilst celebrating a Birthday and closed the last two weeks of August for a reset and break.
