Hello you lovely people.
Well, this is not something I want to be writing but unfortunately we have some sad news. I have made the decision to close Little Green Stores. This has not been an easy decision to make as I love this little business and what it stands for, it is a part of me. Little Green Stores has always been more than just a shop, it’s a way of life. It’s a green community, a sharer of stories and ideas, a network of consciousness.
Last year was a really tough year for my health, both mentally and physically, and I have poured everything I had into this little shop but there has just not been enough custom and I can’t continue to subsidise it.
Although it is sad I have had a jolly 5 years. I’ve met some truly wonderful people, helped numerous people start their green living journey and reduced the amount of plastic waste that would have gone to Cardiff landfill. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for every conversation, for every bag of sweets bought, for every pound donated to the crowdfunder, you’ve kept Little Green Stores going.
The last day of trading will be Wednesday 25th March so please come and help me get rid of stock! There will be lots of sale items and lots of baskets, glass jars and shelving being sold off, it’s all got to go!

Well, what a year we had last year and what a great start to 2025!
2024 was definitely not an easy year but, with your support, we established our new home at Meanwhile House. Another lovely place with a supportive and creative community with lots of lovely independent businesses.
After a crazy Christmas, with Binki finally having her hysterectomy, it was a treat to see us named by Cardiff Life as a leading sustainable business in Cardiff.
Here’s to a super 2025 and to forging our way in a green, sustainable and community forward fashion.
Thank you to everyone single one of you that has supported us through our journey to this point, we are so grateful to be here helping to reduce Cardiff’s plastic waste and increase it’s green footprint.

One week left to stock up!
And guess what….. it must be Christmas…. we’re at Chapter next Thursday! Twice in a month, what a treat.

We have lots of gift ideas as well as the usual store cupboard foods, household detergents and bodycare.

Binki will be having a long awaited operation before New Year so may not be back open until February, depending on recovery. Please stock up this week so you don’t miss out. (And help Binki not be skint for all of January! 🙏)

So finally, after what seems like a lifetime, we have a new home!
It’s feels so good to have a base again with a lovely community surrounding us.
The new Little Green Stores is a lot smaller than the original shop. Although the range might be slightly smaller you can still expect delicious, organic products at reasonable prices and the same big smiles and chats.
We will be open 3 times a week and see how that goes for now. Wednesday & Thursday 2-6pm, Saturday 10-2pm. We will still pop up at Chapter on the first Thursday of the month, 2-6pm.
If you donated to the fundraiser, don’t forget to mention it when you come in so we can apply your discount.

Finally we have some news 🎉
On the 15th March we take the keys to a unit at the wonderful Meanwhile House off Curran Embankment.
When we left the original shop it was intended to move into a new place as quickly as possible but the climate for small indie businesses has not been great.
This is why we are asking for your help. We are trying to raise £600 to get started in our new form. We know how financially difficult things are for so many, if you can spare even a little we would be so grateful. There are rewards for donations too.
Please have a read of the fundraiser and help to get Binki’s sunshine back.

A small change lovely people, I’m now at Chapter the 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month.
That means tomorrow! The first of the November pop ups, 2-6pm in the foyer of Chapter Arts Centre.
