Join us as we celebrate and remember June Maddern, a much-loved regular visitor to Renew.

The morning will begin with arts and crafts activities from 10:00am, followed by a free community picnic at 11:30am, with food and refreshments provided. Weather permitting, we hope to enjoy the picnic outdoors.

In memory of June, we will be making a donation to her favourite charity, Y Bwthyn Hospice. If you are able to contribute, please bring along a cash donation. Any amount, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.

We look forward to coming together to share memories, friendship, and community in June's honour. Everyone is welcome to join us.😊

Citizens Advice hub is available and free for everyone to access during Renew café and during Ainon foodbank hours every Wednesday.

They can help with
Housing issues
Money and debt concerns
Benefits advice
Referrals to Foodbank services
Other practical support and guidance

An appointment is not required but if there is a queue during Renew sessions please let the advisor know and feel free to join us in the back hall for a cuppa and cake while you wait. 😊

A reminder that it’s our monthly wellbeing walk on Wednesday 3rd June. Meet outside The Lewis Arms, Tongwynlais at 9.30am for a guided walk where we slow down and take notice of our beautiful surroundings.

Renew cafe will take place as usual from 10am in Ainon back hall for arts/crafts/table activities, mediation and free tea coffee and cakes.

Don’t forget we also have Citizens advice with us every week in the side room for advice from 10am-4pm. If there’s a queue please join in with the activities in the main room or grab a cuppa. See you there. 😊

Citizens Advice at Ainon – Every Wednesday

We are pleased to share that Citizens Advice will now be available at Ainon every Wednesday between 10am-4pm.

They can offer support and advice on a wide range of issues, including benefits, housing, debt, employment, and more.

Head to Ainon back hall and they will be based in the second side room as you walk up the corridor.

We are so excited to be able to host a Citizens advice hub at Ainon during Renew café every Wednesday launching on 27th May. They will be located in a private side room for confidentiality.

If you have never visited Renew before you will be sure of a friendly welcome. Feel free to grab a coffee and cake while you wait or join in with any of the activities.☺️

We’re pleased to let you know that Jaye from Citizens Advice is with us today, a week earlier than expected.

Jaye will be here until 4pm, so please do pop in if you have any worries or questions. There’s no queue so you could speak to Jaye straight away.

She is free to speak to and available for a private chat in the side room during Renew and Foodbank today until 4pm.

Jaye will be with us every Wednesday from 10am -4pm. Citizens Advice Cardiff & Vale

We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting a Citizens advice hub at Ainon church during Renew café every Wednesday from 10am launching on Wednesday 27th May.
Renew café offer a safe haven providing arts, crafts, woodworking, jigsaws, friendly faces and listening ears alongside tea, coffee and cake.
Everyone is welcome to join in with any activities or just enjoy a cuppa and cake while you wait to see the citizen advice advisor. The advisor will be situated in a side room for privacy and confidentiality.

As it’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to highlight men’s mental health in particular.

Did you know that men are significantly less likely to survive mental health crises? Many struggle in silence and are less likely to seek support , which is why conversations and safe spaces matter so much.

Brawd is one organisation making a real difference. They organise groups and activities primarily for men, creating opportunities to connect, talk, and support wellbeing together.
