fish dishes, piri piri chicken, sea food rice, bacalhau (salted cod), octopus, and fried pork with clams, giving you a true experience of Portuguese cuisine. Not only do we offer Portuguese dishes, but we also have a range of char-grilled steaks, grilled meat, and grilled fish, paellas and tapas dishes. So yesterday was the day we closed our doors for the last time at Douro Valley 😢

Over the last 11 and a half years we have made so many good memories and friends. You will always have a special place in our hearts and we hope that you continue to talk about us in years to come!

We would like to thank everyone for all the kind words, cards, gift and flowers!

Thank you to all the staff members that have worked with us over the years and even customers and family members that have helped us out when we had no one else to work. Thank you to family members that worked behind the scenes helping write posts to share on Facebook and putting roses on the tables.

Firstly we would like to thank you all for your continuous love and support throughout the years. We couldn’t have made this successful without you!

We would like to inform you that our last day of trading will be on Friday 29th May. So there is still time to get your last Douro Valley fix.

We will be getting in touch with those of you who have made bookings for after Friday 29th May

We had been thinking of doing a party on our last day but as this has come round quite quickly and we are already quite busy on that Friday we are sticking to our menu.

Please don’t leave it to the last day to come as we do not want to turn too many people away.

Next week we will be open:
Tuesday to Friday from 5pm

Once again thank you all for giving us the opportunity to make our dream come true and bring our Portuguese food to the island.
