An Italian Grape Harvest Dinner

As summer gently gives way to autumn, we invite you to join us at Il Posticino for a special evening celebrating the flavours, aromas and traditions of the Italian grape harvest.

On Thursday 24 September, enjoy a carefully crafted 5-course tasting menu, created around seasonal ingredients, rich Italian flavours and the spirit of Vendemmia.
From Bocconcino Toscano with Tuscan chicken liver pâté and Vin Santo onions, to Pici all’Anatra with pulled duck ragù, and Filettino di Cervo with fried polenta, fresh porcini mushrooms and Taggiasca olives.
And to finish… our Fig Tiramisu with Salted Caramel.

☀️ ESTATE ’90 — WHAT A NIGHT! 🇮🇹
What a beautiful way to say goodbye to summer. ❤️

Last night, we took a little journey back to the Italian summers of the ’90s — with great food, Italian w**es, music, memories and plenty of smiles around the tables. 🇮🇹☀️🎶

From the Bellini Veneziano on arrival, through our five-course tasting menu, to our final Sgroppino al limone, it was a night full of the flavours and atmosphere of an Italian summer.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make Estate ’90 such a special evening. 🥂

We loved seeing so many of you embracing the spirit of the night — and we hope we gave you a little taste of those endless Italian summer evenings.

We are incredibly proud to share that Il Posticino has been named one of the FINAL THREE finalists for Restaurant of the Year 2026 in the Kent Life Food & Drink Awards! ❤️🇮🇹
Out of so many wonderful restaurants across Kent, being recognised among the final three means more to us than we can put into words.
And seeing Il Posticino featured so beautifully in the September issue of Kent Life is a very special moment for us. ❤️

We are a small, independent, family-run restaurant, and everything we do comes from the heart — from the food we cook, to the w**es we choose, to the welcome we give every guest who walks through our doors.

This recognition belongs to our amazing team and, most importantly, to every single customer who has supported us, dined with us, recommended us, left a review, shared our posts and believed in what we are trying to create.

Join us at Il Posticino for ESTATE ’90 — an evening inspired by those unforgettable Italian summers when holidays meant seaside towns, music on the radio, Bellinis before dinner and long meals that seemed to last forever. 🍸🎶🌊

Expect a 5-course Italian tasting menu, a Bellini on arrival, and our little Sgroppino finale — A Sweet Italian Farewell.
