Hey Do Gooder’s!

LOCAL HERO SPOTLIGHT ALERT!!!

We started Do Good Coffee with a vision to make it easier for people to do themselves some good. And part of our Do Good mission has been to spotlight the incredible unsung heroes in our local communities, people that have achieved something wonderful, inspiring or have just been consistently awesome!

We’re beyond proud to announce Eleanor as a local hero, nominated by Nikki Gammans! Check out her story below...

The Bee Connected Project has worked with Eleanor for the last ten years collaborating with her and her family farm to help create habitats for bumblebees, insect pollinators, birds, and other wildlife.

She has walked a monthly BeeWalk for over eight years and has recorded over ten bumblebee species including two national rare species, the Ruderal and Brown Banded. This year the farm is going into an agri-environment scheme to turn even more of the farm into a wildlife friendly area.

Thank you, Eleanor, for all the hard work you do! We hope you enjoy your coffee, you’ve more than earned it!

We’ve been working closely with our chosen charities to nominate these Do Gooder’s, but we want you to get involved too! If you know a local hero, please let us know and nominate them, they deserve to be recognised and celebrated!

Last Friday we had a Do Good Field Day helping out our friends and the clearing overgrown grassland for bee friendly plants!

Hopefully by the Spring this area will be teeming with bees, plants and wild flowers!
