Back to school week....

It's been lovely settling back into a term-time routine this week as some children in the village went back to school.

One thing I am loving about running Teabellies is seeing how things are changing over time - seeing some children who were toddling around when we first opened now wearing their first school uniform with smiles. Seeing others putting on a secondary school uniform and cycling down the hill for the first time and those venturing wider to university, college or sixth form.

Yesterday we hosted a cupcake decorating party to celebrate a 7th birthday and today we made a sandwich buffet for a 96th birthday celebration.

What a lovely week it's been!

There's also been some time for trying out new recipes (sneak peek picture attached). Who loves a cinnamon bun? My family have enjoyed taste testing them this weekend. More details on their launch coming next week so watch this space.

What's on our retail shelves?

Cupcakes and pizzas...

This week saw the end of our summer activities with cupcake and pizza making on Wednesday.

There was lots of hard work and a little bit of messy flour involved whilst kneeding the dough for pizza making. The pizzas smelt divine and were enjoyed during a picnic on the Green.

Our theme for cupcake decorating was summer and we made ladybird, sheep, flowers and icecream decorations with buttercream, icing, marshmallows and sprinkles.

I absolutely love teaching the young people how to use the ingredients to make their pizzas and decorate their cupcakes 🧁
Sorry for the lack of photos, I was too busy enjoying myself!

Our new retail space ✨️

We've got a new addition at Teabellies - we have started a small retail area where you can pop by and pick up some new items.

We have:
A whole cake - Chocolate Fudge today
Blueberry Crumble Muffins
Triple Chocolate Muffins
Brownie Bite bags
Sweet treat bags
A whole quiche - Cheese and Bacon today
Essanyu coffee (ground and beans)

It's still a work in progress and we are looking forward to adding more items 😀

We had our busiest day since opening 🥳 We are sorry for the slower than normal wait times for lunches and thank you for helping me create some new menu choices when we ran out of some items 😅

What a fun week!

We've been having lots of fun at Teabellies this week.

A huge thank you to the Over WI for asking me to cater for their summer garden party on Monday. I loved putting the cold buffet together for the occasion. Thank you to everyone who has popped by to say how much they enjoyed it ☺️

Yesterday we were having fun with our summer themed cupcake decorating session, practising piping skills and icing moulding. We a looking forward to pizza making next Thursday 🍕

We've also been busy making cake, pastry and buffet orders and experimenting with some new cake ideas which we hope to be able to bring to you very soon.

The shop is fully stocked with yummy treats this weekend so pop along and say hello to the team:
