It's the arts cafe tomorrow 10.30-12.30 at Barnwell Baptist Church, Howard Road. As well as the usual coffe, cake, chat, drawing, collage and sharing, we will be hosting a lantern workshop. PLEASE COME.

ITS THE LANTERN FESTIVAL TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!
This year's Christmas Tree Lights Switch On for Abbey outside Spar , Barnwell Road by the McDonalds Roundabout is happening on the afternoon of Wednesday 6 December - times TBC. This will be preceded by a lantern parade and
ABBEY ARTS INVITES YOU TO OUR
LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOPS
at Barnwell Baptist Church, Howard Road
On Saturday 26 November 10.30-1.15
Saturday 2 December 10.30-12.30
This year's theme is Flying Pterosaurs lanterns celebrating a local history project done by Historyworks with children at Abbey Meadows School. Come and find out more about our local history and make your own dinosaur lantern for the parade!
Please save your plastic milk bottles - any size, as you will need one for your lantern.
Also, WE NEED YOUR OLD PLASTIC MILK BOTTLES If you don't want to make a lantern, can you still save us your old milk bottles and bring them to Barnwell Baptist Church,Howard Road at the above mentioned times when we are running the workshops. A message from Paul to all of you have attended the Arts Cafe
It is with some degree of sadness that I have decided that the December Arts Cafe will be the last one. I've reached this decision because over the last few months numbers of people coming has declined and for the last two sessions, we have only had a couple of people turn up. If though you would wish for the Arts Cafe to continue, then come on December the 2nd and show your support. I would also value your opinions or comments on the Arts Cafe, perhaps why it hasn't worked for you or others and any suggestions about ways it could be organized in future which you feel could work for you if you would like to continue e.g. convenient times, types of activities.....
Feed back can be sent by email to the Barnwell Baptist church office or by messaging myself or Jill . I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have come along in the past or been involved in any way with the Cafe. I wish you all a Happy Christmas - God Bless You- Paul
