The Cornish Spice Man will not be at this weekend’s Food Barn and doesn’t anticipate making any other appearances for the rest of the year.
As you are no doubt aware, following posts on my personal feed yesterday, my wife Tina lost her battle with cancer in the early hours of Wednesday morning. She was a real fighter, an inspiration and the bravest woman I have ever known.

It’s the start of a new month and the Cornish Spice Man is back at the Old Cattle Market in Helston for the monthly Farmers’ Market.
The short duration of this market (since 2020, post Covid it’s only three hours) coupled with a high footfall makes for a busy time for the stallholders. This in turn adds to the atmosphere, which is important for any market.
Helston Farmers’ Market runs from 9:30 until 12:30 on the first Saturday of the month and if you haven’t been before it’s well worth a visit.

Sometimes you have to get back on the horse….
The Cornish Spice Man is back at the Food Barn, Tregew after a brief break owing to the death of my mother.
Admittedly, I could have quite happily stayed in bed this morning, but as I said at the beginning of this post, you have to get back on the horse.
The atmosphere and animation of a market can provide a lift, especially if you’re feeling under the weather and Tregew is no exception.

It feels like an absolute age since I last posted anything on Facebook, but those of you who know me will probably realise the reason why.
Anyway, the Cornish Spice Man is at the Food Barn this morning. This particular market is one where the word “vibe” definitely applies. There is a real atmosphere to this venue and it is a credit to the organisers how this market has grown in popularity.
With the exception of the first Saturday in each month, the Cornish Spice Man has a regular pitch at Tregew from 9 until 1 every Saturday.

Back on home turf this morning at Camborne Produce Market.
I seem to have a case of crabs 🦀 Claude and Cuthbert have joined Lionel the Lobster, as well as Herman the Hermit Crab.
Come and meet the Crustacean Crew at Camborne today and at the Food Barn, Tregew tomorrow.

It’s a sunny Thursday and the Cornish Spice Man is over in St Ives for the Farmers Market. I’m here from 9:30 until 2:00 with a plethora of different things to tempt your taste buds. As well as my own spice blends I have a range of glazes and seasonings from Pureety and a limited amount of chilli sauces, jams, purées and pickles from Chilli Mash. There’s also the Cornish Sea Salt range and my homemade mango chutney.
Come along to the Guildhall and see what’s on offer!

After a brilliant Trevithick Day, things are settling down to a normal routine. The Bank Holiday came and went and now the Cornish Spice Man is back in Porthleven at the Shipyard. For personal reasons I shall be gone at 3:15 this afternoon, but not to worry…
I’m going to be here for two days, so if you see something you like and aren’t sure, then I’ll be here tomorrow from 11:30 (ish) until 5:00.
