📢 Tourism is not just “visitors on holiday” — it is one of the foundations of Gwynedd’s economy.

Around 15,000 jobs are directly supported by tourism, and up to 35% of employment in Gwynedd is affected by visitor spending.

That means when visitor numbers fall, the impact does not stop at campsites, hotels or attractions. It reaches local cafés, shops, pubs, tradespeople, suppliers, transport providers, heritage sites and families across the county.

Even a small drop in visitors can create a ripple effect through the whole local economy.

This is why the proposed Visitor Levy must be considered with extreme care. Gwynedd is already facing serious economic challenges, limited job opportunities in some rural areas, and young people leaving to find work elsewhere.

Before introducing any new charge that could make Gwynedd less competitive, we need proper local evidence, a clear plan and full accountability.

Because this is not just about tourism.

It is about jobs.
It is about businesses.
It is about families.
It is about the future of Gwynedd.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a fantastic camping experience! The campsite was clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The facilities were in great condition, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The pitches were spacious and offered plenty of privacy, making it easy to relax and enjoy nature.

The location was perfect, with great walking trails and plenty of opportunities to explore the area. The atmosphere was peaceful, especially in the evenings, and we loved sitting by the campfire under the stars.

Overall, this was one of the best camping trips we've had, and we would definitely return. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing outdoor getaway.
