Big shout out to our volunteer Ian, who has spent 100s of hours around our centre painting fences, varnishing benches, gardening, clearing drains, cleaning up pigeon poo and fitting spikes to keep them away! Thank you Ian!

RISE cafe is now open! 🎉 Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 3:30pm. We have created a soft launch menu of delicious Teas, coffees, Cakes and snacks. All profits of Rise Cafe go directly towards the care of the elderly at St Mary’s Community Centre, making sure we keep all day services low in cost for those who need it most. Together we can make a difference.

On Saturday 9th August a group of us will be doing a sponsored walk from Jubilee Square, Woking, at 10am to St Mary’s community centre, to raise funds for our elderly day services. 😃 we will be pushing some of our elderly members in wheelchairs if they’re up for joining us on the day along the Basingstoke canal. We believe every older person has the right to attend a centre, to receive a freshly cooked meal, a chance to socialise and be part of the community. With no government funding we will do all we can to make sure this can happen.
