We are deeply disappointed to inform our customers and community that our shop has been racially targeted by a few hateful individuals. As a small independent business, we do not support terrorism in any way, shape, or form, and we have always valued love, respect, and kindness toward everyone around us. It is disheartening that such ignorant people choose hate over understanding. We are not even a Muslim-owned business, which makes it painfully clear that little thought or research went into their actions—or into the harm they cause.
Despite this upsetting situation, we are fortunate to have a wonderful and supportive community here in Buxton.
We will continue to serve for the foreseeable future, and we refuse to let a few bad eggs stop us or tarnish the good name of the people of Buxton.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who checked in on us and offered their support today. Your kindness means more than we can express.
