This is Lucas. On Sunday, he’ll leave Sheffield on his bike with a tent, a camera and more than 2,350 km ahead of him.

He’s riding towards the edge of Europe.

Lucas lost his mum to dementia. She died on his birthday. His grandfather lived with dementia too. It’s hard to know what to say to someone who has been through that. Lucas has found something he can do. He’s getting on his bike and riding to raise awareness and support for other families.

Tonight, people are coming together at Regather 57-59 club garden road from 6pm to wish him well. Then on Sunday at 9am, he’ll set off from the Gaia statue by Park Hill flats.

If you can, come down. Meet Lucas, hear his story and give him a good send-off. We can’t ride the miles with him, but we can make sure he knows Sheffield is behind him when he leaves.

Take care out there, Lucas. From all of us at Chakra Lounge. 💛
