Back in 1997, Alfonso followed his dream and opened the doors of St James Restaurant in the heart of Bushey Village. His vision was to offer local residents a modern, fine dining experience.

As St James Restaurant became more established, people not only came for the food, but also the personal welcome and attention Alfonso gave all his guests. Diners soon became regulars, and regulars became lifelong friends.

Over the past 27 years, St James has hosted many family celebrations, networking events, supported local charities and even serving the odd celebrity! With thanks to their dedicated customers, the restaurant continued to thrive post pandemic, which Alfonso will forever be grateful for.

But as with everything, all great things must come to an end. It’s now time for Alfonso to put his feet up and enjoy his retirement. Whilst the kitchen is now closed, and the tables and chairs cleared, the wonderful memories live on.

From Alfonso and on behalf of his team, thank you all for making St James Restaurant his dream come true.
