After 54 years of trading on the Howard Estate we have come to the deeply saddening decision to cease trading.
It’s seems an apt time to do this with the passing of Valerie last week who opened the Peyton Plaice with my dad in 1972.
Thanks to all the wonderful staff who have worked for us over the passed 50 years ❤️
Finally, a great big thank you to our amazing customers some of whom have been coming in for decades.

The shop will reopen at a later date as a hot food takeaway, under new ownership.

We are happy to tell you all that from today we will be opening our restaurant area at our Barton Road shop! We thank you all for your patience while we waited for the right time to do this.

From today we will be extending our evening hours at both shops! They will now be open till 8:30pm Monday-Saturday. Our lunchtime hours will be staying at 12:00-1:30. The Howard Estate shop will still be closed Monday/Tuesday lunchtimes but open Wednesday-Saturday lunchtimes. The Barton Road shop is still open Monday-Saturday lunchtimes.

Great news! For Good Friday next week we will be extending our hours slightly at both shops. Our Barton Road shop will be open from 11:30-2 then 4-8:30. Our Howard Estate shop will be open from 12-2 then 4:00-8:30.
We recommend that if possible you call you’re orders in for the time you wish too collect for.

Happy new year to you all! This is a small reminder to you all that we are open again. Both shops are operating on the hours we were before we Christmas. Which are 12:00 to 1:30 and 4:30 to 8:00 Monday to Saturday at our Barton road shop. Howard is open 4:30 to 8:00 Monday/Tuesday and 12:00 to 1:30 then 4:30 to 8:00 Wednesday to Saturday.

We will be open Christmas Eve this year as usual, but we have decided we won’t be opening again until the 4th of January.
We would also like to say from all of us here at Peyton Plaice, that we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
