Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.
Just before we opened a campervan came from the beach and decided to park up outside my shop, not an issue as he was a blue badge holder.
However what they did do was mount the pavement and block the pavement for pedestrians to get by.
I went out and asked them to move from the pavement as they were blocking it and the gentleman showed me his blue badge. I said yes I know you have a blue badge just park on the road please, not on the pavement as people can't get passed. They said we are coming to the chippy I said that's fine but please move off the pavement and park on the road.
Rather than seeing this as a kindly request to stop blocking the pavement. They drove off, (not an issue) but then proceeded to get on reviews and leave me a 2 star review for discriminating against a disabled person.
I have replied, I also have the CCTV of this dangerous parking. I can't believe that some people have no thought for others, I'm sure mounting the pavement and blocking pedestrians is not part of the caveat that goes with a blue badge.
So all I politely ask is if you visit the shop and park outside please don't park on the pavement, disabled people, children, parents with prams , the elderly etc should not have to squeeze down a public footpath or more dangerously have to go onto the road to get around a vehicle.
Thank you
Sarah
