😔 A VERY DISAPPOINTED POST FROM US TODAY 😔
I’m genuinely so upset and disappointed to have to write this.
Our b**r garden at The Oak & Ivy is something we work hard to keep looking nice so that everyone can sit out, relax and enjoy it.
Unfortunately, it is a b**r garden – not a playground, and recently things have been damaged and messed about with.
Our small water feature has now been broken. The arms have been pulled off and damaged, dirt and stones have been put into it, along with a very large stone and it has now stopped working.
Garden ornaments have been moved around, and flowers have even been picked off our rose bushes and thrown into the water feature. 🌹
Children are, of course, welcome in our garden, but parents and guardians are responsible for supervising them at all times. Please don’t allow children to climb on, move, pick, throw or damage things around the garden.
We put a lot of time, effort and money into making the garden a lovely place for our customers, and it’s heartbreaking to see things being damaged for no reason.
Please respect our pub, our garden and the things in it.
We really shouldn’t have to ask. 😔
