Our daily specials are always changing, making the most of what’s fresh and available. This lobster mac and cheese made an appearance a few weeks ago and went down very well. Keep an eye on the specials board when you visit to see what we’ve got on.

A little bit of what goes into breakfast at Hive.

We use Fenton British free-range eggs, so when you order your breakfast, you’re getting proper British eggs from free-range hens.

From a simple fried egg to one of our breakfast dishes, they’re a pretty important part of the kitchen here. And, in our opinion, there’s not much better than a good breakfast when the weather outside is looking questionable. 🥚

Nice to get the team together last week and try out some new dishes from the kitchen. Head Chef Martines put together plenty of plates for everyone to try, with ideas for the menu as we head into the colder months and towards Christmas. Not a bad morning at work!

We reckon September is pretty good coffee weather.

Especially when the sky is grey, the rain is making an appearance and the sea is looking a little more dramatic than usual.

Pop in after a walk, meet someone for a catch-up or just come down because you fancy a really good coffee. ☕️

September has arrived, and the weather is doing exactly what you’d expect from a September in Dorset.

A bit of sunshine, a bit of rain and plenty of wind thrown in for good measure.

Luckily, Hive is a pretty good place to hide from the worst of it. Come down for breakfast, lunch, a coffee or something sweet, then watch the weather do its thing outside. 🌊

Our Dorset apple cake has been a favourite on the cake menu for years. Made in our little bakery here in Burton Bradstock, it’s pretty hard to beat with a mug of tea or coffee.
