Sunday appreciation post

What a lovely busy day we have had at the tearoom. The sun has been shining and everyones been out and about.

We have been a little quiet the last few days but the weather hasn't helped.

There's lots going on behind the scenes atm and the community room is really on course to be finished very soon.

The community notice board at the back of the building has had a little TLC and will soon be filled with everything thats happening in the next few months.

A reminder that breakfast with santa and the polar express afternoon tea all need to be pre booked in person at the tearoom. We are already seeing dates starting to fill up.

Thank you to our regulars and everyone else who has been in on our return after holiday. Next week is homemade pie week. Chicken and leek pie with chips and gravy is available from Wednesday for £8, when its gone its gone.

We had a lovely time with HSL Pottery making sheep last night. Pop over to the website and look at what other workshops are coming.

The park again is very quiet we will be closing at 2pm. £100 wont cover the wage bill I have to pay unfortunately let alone bills and food costs. We are fully aware everyone is struggling with the cost of living. Little businesses depend on local support. Big corporations wouldnt miss you. We do.

Next week we are trialing homemade pie of the week. We know its going to be chicken but what else would you like with the chicken filling? Leek? Vegetable??? It will be served with chips and gravy for £8.

Its a little chilly today but its warm at the tearoom.

We seem to have a little of summer returning weather wise but looking to autumn we are starting a new thursday afternoon cosy club. You can come in get a blanket a soft cushion. Do some colouring, read a book, do a jigsaw. Socialising can be draining. Its good to make you time. The park in autumn is beautiful with colour. Thursdays from the 8th October at 12.30.

What a miserable day. This weather cant make its mind up. Its been a slow day but been lovely seeing everyone.
