Some people just make a place what it is. Biffo was one of them.

His family have asked us to let everyone know they'd love you to come and celebrate his life with them here at Sandhills Bar.

Thursday 20th August 2026, 2pm.

No dress code, no formalities. Turn up as you are. If you knew Biffo, you're welcome, whether that was forty years of friendship or a few pints and a laugh at the end of the bar.

From Monday we're putting a Book of Happy Memories out on the bar. If you've got a story about him, and most of us have got a few, come in and write it down. The family want to keep them.

Thanks for the laughs Biffo. You'll be sorely missed.
