We are super excited to be welcoming Louis O’Hara, Serafima and Gem Stark to Burry Port on the 24th of October.

Louis O’Hara is a singer-songwriter from Pembroke Dock, West Wales, whose music finds beauty in the soft details of everyday life. Blending tender folk sensibilities with poetic lyricism and subtle chamber-pop flourishes, his songs draw from memory, family, place, and quiet emotional truths. His work has been described as nostalgic, emotional, and tender, with an intimate voice grounded in sincerity.
All the way from Seattle, Serafima and The Shakedowns finds influence in the likes of Johnny and June Carter Cash, Kimya Dawson, Lily Allen, Dan Reeder, and Cake – somewhere in there among the honest and the groovy. Her lyrics hit you in the heart and stick in your head – wry, time-twisting verses as deceptively complex as her protagonists and their experiences. She won’t lie to you, but she just might tell you a story … so keep up, folks, and let’s ride along.
And Gem Stark, a folk singer from the North-West of England now situated in South-East London who has recently released her first single ‘Penguin Random House’. It was produced and mixed by Louis too!

For this Months Quiz we welcome another one of our own, WOODSEY? Aka Ryan Woods, Ryan is the longest serving member at Lolfá, 8 gruelling years!! So he’s earned his time in the spotlight!!!

When he’s not poaching your eggs and stacking your brunch Ry is honing his craft as a photographer! (Or watching films) Check out his amazing photography here Ryan Anthony Woods

So expect overly trivialised questions from Movies, Music, the Arts and Popular culture.

With that said, this month’s Quiz will be a fundraising effort for his Masters Exhibition in Swansea!

Teams of up to 5 max, Make friends not War.Loaded Fries, Nachos, Beers!
£2 per person, proceeds to the nominated Charity.

LOLFAPALOOZA 2.0!

Here we are almost 2 years into our new home and we thought we’d celebrate by bringing back our Bank Holiday Lolfá-Palooza!!
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome “Prestatyn’s greatest band” BAU CAT to Caffi Lolfá alongside local band Coron Moron!
But before we kick off the evenings music we’ve added in an extra sprinkling of Fun with an Open mic session hosted by Eugene, Straeon Cymreig told by Liz, and a cute little craft session to get the creativity flowing! Absolutely Jammed Packed!

Oh, and we will also be serving up some street food, Brunch style!!

🚨A little bit about the the Band;

BAU CAT headlined the Toad Hall stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2024, and gained significant buzz after their Greenman Festival set on the Hudol stage. James Dean Bradfield from the Manic Street Preachers even named their track ‘Silver Bangle’ as one of his favourite new songs! So what are you waiting for, grab those tix!!
