Burnley pub crowned PubAid Community Pub Hero 2026 ๐Ÿ†

Huge congratulations to Justine and the team at The Royal Dyche on being crowned Community Pub Hero 2026 at the national PubAid Awards - as well as taking home the title of Community Sport Hero for England.๐Ÿ‘

The Yorkshire Street pub was recognised for the incredible contribution Justine Bedford and her team make to the Burnley community from supporting grassroots sport alongside free community events, live music and opportunities for local performers, mental health support, initiatives tackling loneliness and free meals for people in the community.

Judges said: โ€œThe Royal Dyche stood out because community is embedded in almost everything it does. Its commitment goes far beyond any one initiative - it understands, celebrates and champions Burnley and continually finds new ways to make a positive difference to the people who live there.โ€

The latest accolades add to an impressive collection for The Royal Dyche, which has also been named CAMRA East Lancashire Pub of the Year and Best Small Business at the Red Rose Awards.

What a fantastic effort from this team of riders, completing 140 miles over two days ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Cycling between 8 football clubs; Barrow, Morecambe, Fleetwood, Blackpool, Preston, B*stards, Accrington, (and a pitstop of the Dyche!) before finally Turf Moor.

All in support of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation ๐Ÿ’™

With around 70,000 people across Lancashire and South Cumbria living with cancer, the money raised will help fund pioneering local research, equipment, specialist training and innovative welfare projects ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

We were delighted to welcome the group in for a well-earned celebratory pint, with Burnley FC in the Community present to welcome them and also pick up the tab - what a lovely touch. Well done to all ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
