Can you help us find some faces from a bit of Burnley history?

On 20 September 1966, Burnley travelled to face VfB Stuttgart in the first round of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. After a 1–1 draw in Germany, the Clarets won the return leg 2–0 and went through 3–1 on aggregate.

We have a large framed photograph from the occasion hanging in The Bridge — and amazingly, two of the people in it are still regulars with us 60 years on.

To mark the anniversary, we’re hoping to get a little reunion together at the pub after the Burnley v Derby County home game on Saturday 19 September.

If you recognise anyone in the photograph, were there yourself, or are related to somebody who was, please get in touch with us. We’d love to hear the stories and hopefully bring a few people back together.

🍻 OKTOBERFEST IS WELL UNDERWAY! 🇩🇪

The Oktoberfest beers have been going down a storm so far — including two we’ve never stocked before, Rothaus Märzen and Maxlrainer Kirtabier!

And the first of our Oktoberfest kegs is now pouring too…

🇩🇪 THE OKTOBERFEST LINE-UP IS IN! 🍺

We’ve gone bigger than ever this year, with some fan favourites returning and plenty of brand-new faces joining the fridge.

There are 14 Oktoberfest bottles to choose from, with six of them also available on draught.

Emma’s getting involved too with two Oktoberfest food specials:

🥔 Bavarian Loaded Potatoes — £8.75

And there’s another Oktoberfest food special joining the menu soon… 👀

We’re open from 12 all weekend, with the kitchen serving until 6:30 — so come down and give them a whirl!
