🎉 The Waffle Hub Youth Club is Back! 🎉
Dear Parents and Carers,
We’re really excited to welcome everyone back to The Waffle Hub Youth Club after the break!
📅 We restart on Wednesday 16th September
⏰ 6.30pm – 8.30pm
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again and have lots of exciting activities and opportunities planned for the weeks ahead.
🎨 Be Prepared to Get MESSY!
We’re kicking off our first session with a messy main activity, so please make sure your young person comes along wearing clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little messy!
It should be great fun and a brilliant way to start our new term together.
🏘️ Young People Making a Difference
Over the coming weeks, we’re delighted to be welcoming Sandra from Citizens UK Somerset back to the Youth Club.
Sandra will be helping us build on the work our young people have already started by identifying areas in our community where they feel improvements are needed to make them safer.
We’ll be working with the Town Councillor that came on our Neighbourhood Walk to help the young people develop their ideas into a proposal to put forward to Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Town Council.
This is a fantastic opportunity for our young people to have their voices heard, get involved in their community and help bring about positive change in the places that matter to them.
🤾 Get Ready for Dodgeball!
We also have a fantastic sporting session coming up this Wednesday 16th!
We’ll be welcoming a Scotland Team Dodgeball player to The Waffle Hub Youth Club to introduce our young people to the exciting team game of Dodgeball.
They’ll have the opportunity to learn how the game is played, develop some new skills and, most importantly, get involved and have a go!
Whether they’re naturally sporty or have never played Dodgeball before, everyone will be encouraged to join in. It should be a fun, energetic and slightly competitive session!
🏹 Half-Term Special – Archery & BBQ!
And there’s even more to look forward to during the half term…
🏹 BBQ LUNCH sandwiched between two sessions of archery! 🍔
We’ll send out more information nearer the time, but it promises to be a fantastic activity for everyone to enjoy. There will be a cost which will cover their BBQ and the archery.
🌟 A Great Term Ahead
There is lots happening at The Waffle Hub Youth Club this term – opportunities to have fun, make friends, try something new, learn new skills and make a real difference in our community.
Most importantly, we’re looking forward to having everyone back together again.
