✨ Thank You ✨
What a truly special day.

As we celebrated 1 year of Coco & Nut Pantry, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for every kind word, every card, every message, every coffee, every purchase, and every conversation. The love and support we have received today has been overwhelming, and I am so incredibly grateful.

It made the day even more special being able to celebrate alongside my sister-in-law . When we first opened our doors, we hoped to create welcoming spaces that brought people together, and today felt like a beautiful reminder of exactly that.

A special mention also has to go to all of the wonderful dogs who bring their humans to visit us. You bring so much joy and so many smiles to our day. And of course, a very special thank you to Charlie, who arrived with a Happy Anniversary balloon and completely stole our hearts.

And a special thank you to Connor for spending part of his day with us and capturing such beautiful photographs. These moments pass so quickly when you're busy celebrating, so having them captured means the world and will allow us to look back on our first anniversary with so many wonderful memories.

As I sit here reflecting on the past year, I feel equal parts grateful, proud, humbled... and completely exhausted! It's been a year of learning, growth, challenges, laughter, wonderful conversations, and so much community spirit.

Tonight, I'm going to rest... just for one night... 😴
And then tomorrow, we'll be back, doing what we love and looking forward to another year of coffee, plants, community, connection, and seeing all of your lovely faces.

✨ One Year of Coco & Nut Pantry ✨

Today, Coco & Nut Pantry turns one.
It feels quite surreal to write those words.
Nearly 10 years ago, the idea of opening a plant-based café and refill pantry was nothing more than a picture on a vision board. A dream quietly sitting in the background whilst life carried on around it.

When I found this little space in Burnham-on-Crouch, it just felt right. From the moment we opened our doors, this wonderful community embraced us. You welcomed our vision, supported our small business, recommended us to friends and family, and returned time and time again. For that, I am endlessly grateful.

My hope was always to create more than just a café. I wanted to offer a different way of living, one that celebrates plant-based food, sustainability, community, slowing down, and making conscious choices. To see so many people connect with that vision has been incredibly humbling.

This first year hasn't always been easy. Like many small businesses, we have navigated rising costs, uncertainty, and what continues to be a challenging climate for independent businesses. We survived our first winter, adapted, learned, and kept moving forward.

But what has made every challenge worthwhile has been our customers. The familiar faces that walk through the door each week. The customers who have become friends. The conversations shared over coffee. The stories, experiences, wisdom and laughter that fill this little space.

One of the greatest gifts of this journey has been the people I have met. Every day I learn something from someone.

This business may have started as my dream, but it has become something far bigger than that. It has become a community, and that is something I will never take for granted.

Thank you for helping turn a vision board dream into a reality.

🌿 International Women’s Day

Coco & Nut Pantry

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day,
the strength, care and creativity of women everywhere.

Coco & Nut Pantry was built from many roles I hold in life…a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend and a woman who simply wanted to create a space where people could slow down, feel welcome and nourish themselves.

Running a small independent business isn’t always easy, but it is deeply meaningful.

Every coffee poured, every bake made, every refill jar topped up is part of a bigger story, one about community, sustainability, and supporting one another.

Today I’m especially grateful for the women who inspire me daily: customers, friends, family, fellow small business owners, and the next generation of girls growing up watching what’s possible.

I feel especially grateful for my sister-in-law Kay at Sage & Soil. From the beginning we have stepped into this journey alongside one another, two small businesses growing side by side, sharing ideas, encouragement and the quiet reassurance that someone else understands the path.

I’m also thankful for women in our community who bring kindness and wisdom into everyday moments, like Siobhan and Milli who have helped keep Top Up Tuesday going and Donata at The Lovely Shop whose warmth is always felt.

And to friends like Michelle who quietly anchor when life feels uncertain.

Each of these women shows such strength and determination, and inspire me daily in the way they live, work and support others.

Here’s to women building, nurturing, creating and leading, in big ways and small.
