Poets Harry Eyres and Anthony Gardner will both read from their work, followed questions and conversation, over food and drinks if you would like. There will also be an opportunity to buy copies of their books directly from the authors. 📚

Is there a topic you are knowledgeable and passionate about? Could you talk about it for 15 minutes and answer questions? From local history to intriguing science to common law to foraging to an obscure aspect of folklore - any area of life that fascinates you that you would like to share? It could be your work or the thing you would choose as your specialist subject on Master Mind… This winter we would like to host a regular evening - ‘Beat the Algorithm’
In an age when we are constantly funnelled by algorithms towards more of the same - « If you like that you may like this » we are less likely to accidentally come across something new to us that may inspire or challenge us to consider things differently. The concept is that 3 people to talk for 15 minutes on their subject over an evening - with tea, cake, w**e and sharing plates available throughout. If you or someone you know might be interested in attending or speaking please DM us - we are hoping to schedule the first later this month - come and join us!

🍁 🍰 🍂 We’ve been trying out some new autumn recipes ready for the Bungay Food market this Sunday - Balsamic Fig, Blackberry and Cardamom layer cake and an Apple, Thyme and Honey layer cake - having tasted tested both I can confidently say Charlotte has outdone herself! We open early this Sunday and look forward to offering you a calm sanctuary and a good cup of tea when you are ready to escape the hurly-burly of the market!
