We are a working community, supporting formerly homeless people by providing a home for as long as is needed, meaningful work opportunities, training and support. We are funded through our social enterprises in Ditchingham and Norwich. We are a community of people who live and work together to support ourselves and help others. YOU can help us by either donating household goods (furniture, good bric-a-brac, clothes) or coming to visit our secondhand outlets in Ditchingham and Norwich. We also have a cafe at our Ditchingham community - the Old Orchard Cafe - which serves homemade light lunches, cakes, scones and more, all prepared fresh on-site by our companions. All money raised through our secondhand outlets, cafe and house clearance service goes towards helping us become self-sufficient and helping other people out of homelessness.

Homelessness is about so much more than not having a roof over your head. It can be linked to isolation, financial hardship, mental health challenges, addiction and trauma — everyone’s journey is different.

At Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, we empower people to overcome homelessness and trauma, providing the foundations for a brighter future. 🌱

We offer:
🏡 A safe home for up to 50 people
💙 Tailored support for people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity or living in unsafe situations
🎓 Skills, training and work experience to help people achieve their goals

Together, we’re working to end homelessness one person at a time. 🤝

Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney is looking for a Supported Accommodation Manager to lead the delivery of safe, recovery-focused supported accommodation.

Joining our team in Ditchingham, you’ll manage a team enabling vulnerable adults to identify their future plans, address barriers and unresolved trauma and move on to fulfilling and sustainable independent living.💚

📍 Location: Ditchingham
🕐 Hours: 40 hours per week
💷 Salary: £35,000 FTE

As part of our Women’s Project, women living in our community gain valuable work experience through three creative micro-enterprises: 🧵 textiles & crafts, ♻️ upcycling, and 🔥 blacksmithing in our Forge.

Take a peek at some of the beautiful pieces created throughout the project! 🎨✨ These unique, upcycled items are available to buy in our Women’s Project shop, with every purchase helping us support future residents. 🛍️💜

Over the course of the year, women work alongside creative practitioners to explore their creativity, discover new skills and build confidence. 🌱

The Women’s Project supports women who have experienced challenging life events, including sexual violence, domestic abuse, coercive control and homelessness — helping them take steps towards authentic, settled and fulfilling lives. 💪💜
