🌊 OUR PLANS - AND THEY ALWAYS INCLUDE YOU ❄️ 🐟 🥣

We’re taking a little week off to reflect, recharge and catch our breath after an incredible first season. ❤️

We’re honestly so humbled by the start we’ve had and by the amazing support you’ve shown us. It’s been a pretty special first season, and we can’t thank you all enough! 🥰

So many of you have already been asking what our plans are for the winter months, so here’s what we’ve decided…

Winter is definitely Cullen Skink season! 🥣 ❄️

As long as the weather is favourable and on our side, we’ll be keeping things going throughout the winter.

We’ll be closed for the whole of December and the first two weeks of January, but apart from that, it’ll be all systems go! 🙌

However ……. if there’s enough demand for us to open between Christmas and New Year 28th, 29th & 30th December, then we absolutely will! 🎄 So let us know what you think. Would you like to see us open? 🤔

🌊💨 WOW, PORTSOY! WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BLAST OF A DAY! 💨🌊

And we’re not talking about the wind! 😂💨

What a great day we’ve had! A huge THANK YOU to every single one of you who came out to see us, support us, grab some goodies and make our day such a good one!

We absolutely LOVED our change of scenery today - we were sheltered from the wind and WOW, what a view we had! 😍🌊 We could definitely get used to that!

A massive thank you to Portsoy Sail Loft and Portsoy Links Caravan Park for being so incredibly helpful, welcoming and accommodating while we found our feet, being the first time at this spot. We really appreciate it!

Now… we’re hanging up the apron for a week off! 🥳🙌

But don’t worry - we’ll be back before you know it! 👀

If it’s raining 🌧️ and we’re taking a hot minute to get your food ready, there’s no need to stand outside waiting.

Simply place your order, grab a buzzer, head back to the comfort of your car 🚗, and we’ll buzz you when your food is ready! 🐟

Because nobody wants to be standing in the wind and rain waiting for their dinner! 😂🌧️ 💨

The wind was blowing a hoolie today, and our seafood was going down a storm! 🌊 🐟

You’re going to lose sleep tonight trying to decide what to choose tomorrow! The combos were definitely a hit, and the Laird’s Skink was also extra popular today. 🥣

We’ve restocked and are all set for tomorrow, so we’ll be ready and waiting for you all in Portsoy at The Sail Loft from 12 noon. Fingers crossed we’ll be sheltered from the wind again! 🤞🌬️

📍 SATURDAY – CULLEN LOCATION CHANGE

Due to the wind direction, we won’t be right by the harbour tomorrow.

Instead, we’ll be at our other pitch on Port Long Road, at the motorhome site.

You won’t see our flags this time - we’re a little scared they’ll blow away! 😂🌬️ But don’t worry, we’ll be easy to find, just along from the harbour.

📍 SUNDAY – PORTSOY

Our Sunday location in Portsoy will also be different due to the weather forecast. We’ll confirm the new location in Portsoy tomorrow.

🦐 🐟 🥣 WEEKEND PREP IS WELL UNDERWAY! 🦐 🐟 🥣

Behind the scenes, we’re busy chopping, prepping, cooking and generally making a delicious mess getting your fresh seafood street eats ready for the weekend! 🐟 🦀 🦞

And we’ve had SO many people asking about our bread rolls…

“Do you buy them from the bakers like that?” 🥖

Well… we’ll let you in on a little secret 🤫

Nope! 😂

I’m sure Graeme at the bakers is delighted he doesn’t have to do it because every single roll is branded by hand, and it’s a job Freya absolutely refuses to let anyone else do. 🤣.
(We’re not sure if it’s dedication, perfectionism or just a very specific job title… 😂)

Anyway, enough behind-the-scenes secrets - here’s where you’ll find us this weekend:

Motorhome Site, Port Long Road
👉 Head towards the harbour and carry on just beyond there.
⚠️ Slight change of pitch on Saturday due to the wind direction.

One of the boats that supplies us is already out of the water for the season, and the other two won’t be far behind.

We’re also taking a wee break next weekend, so by the time we’re back, lobster season may well and truly be over for the year 😭

So if you’ve been waiting for that lobster fix, this weekend could be your last chance for a while! 🦞❤️
