Just a quick update from all of us at Sid’s Spice.

We are OPEN this Monday 27
/07/2026 and look forward to welcoming you.

As many of you know, the next two weeks are the busiest time of the year for us. We kindly ask for your patience if there are slightly longer waiting times than usual. To help us maintain the quality of our food and service, we will be operating with a slightly reduced menu during this busy period.

We would also like to let you know that from this Sunday, there will be a small price increase across our menu. We have worked hard to keep our prices the same since the global oil crisis, despite rising costs. Unfortunately, to continue serving the high-quality food and service you expect from us, this adjustment has become necessary.

We truly appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support. Your loyalty means everything to us and helps keep Sid’s Spice serving our local community year after year.

To our valued customers,

I would like to offer a sincere apology to anyone who experienced longer waiting times for their takeaway or restaurant meal last night.

As many of you know, Sid’s Spice is a small independent family-run business here in Brora. During the busy summer months, when both locals and visitors are supporting us, the demand can sometimes exceed what our small team can comfortably manage. That’s not an excuse—it’s simply the reality we face, and ultimately the responsibility falls on me.

I take great pride in maintaining the high standards that our local community has come to expect from Sid’s Spice. When we fall short of those standards, even on our busiest days, I feel personally disappointed.

Like many businesses in the far north of Scotland, finding and retaining staff can be extremely challenging. My family, regularly help out, and we all work long hours to keep the restaurant open and operating to the best standard possible. Most days we manage it well, but occasionally, especially during peak tourist season, the pressure can lead to delays.

I want to thank the vast majority of customers who showed patience, understanding, and kindness last night. Your support means more than you know and helps keep small local businesses like ours going.

Please know that every member of our team is doing their very best, and I promise that as long as I’m here, I will continue working hard to provide the food, service, and hospitality that both our local community and visitors deserve.
